Tonight is a big night for us at PolyMet Mining: The third and final public meeting for the PolyMet supplemental draft Environmental Impact Statement will take place at the Saint Paul RiverCentre. The meeting marks the end of the public meetings as part of the 90-day public comment period (which closes March 13).

What to expect

Tonight’s event will follow the same format as the past two meetings in Duluth and Aurora, with a 5 pm open house and public comments starting at 7 pm.

The first two hours will be a time to learn about the project. The agencies, as well as PolyMet, will staff tables and provide information on the project. Be sure to stop by our booth and say hi.

Following the open house, there will be three hours of public comment, during which time people will be randomly chosen to speak for three minutes each. You will also be able to submit written comments or speak your views to stenographers onsite.

Moving forward with your support

Our team has been humbled by the tremendous support for the PolyMet copper-nickel mining project at the last two meetings, and we are excited to continue the momentum at this final meeting.

Here’s to more productive, civil conversations about how we can move Minnesota copper-nickel mining forward!
